I’ve always been obsessed with the outdoors, as a young lad I wanted to climb mountains, watch wildlife and spend any and every moment I could exploring. Picking up a camera aged eleven I had a new way to explore and after a few days I was hooked on a dream of becoming a full time nature photographer. Fast forward 17 years and I’ve had a camera round my neck ever since, its taken me around the globe from the Amazon to the Okavango and given me the opportunity to spend time in some truly amazing places with incredible subjects.
I’m always happiest when I’m behind the camera, or messing around with my remote camera traps, exploring new ways to craft images and capture shots. In daily life you’ll rarely find me without my binoculars, constantly watching wildlife or looking for new photographic locations close to home.
Over the years I’ve built up a great client list, providing images for the likes of BBC Wildlife Magazine, The RSPB, National Tourist boards and NGO’s as well as many magazines and publications.
A few years ago I was honoured to be invited to become a Nikon Europe Optics Ambassador when I was just 25, and have since worked alongside Nikon on multiple product launches both for optics and cameras, providing images and video content. Having worked with Nikon cameras for over a decade and a half, It’s awesome to be part of the Nikon family. I regularly work alongside the team at events and shows around the country sharing my knowledge with attendees.
In addition to my work with Nikon I am also proud to be part of the Wex Ambassador Network.
I have worked alongside Wex Photo Video since I was 15, writing for the blog, as well as shooting and filming my first YouTube series “Life in the wild” for them many years ago. Since then I have gone on to be a regular lecturer and lead multiple in store and online workshops for the company.
As part of the role, I’ll be working closely with my friends at Wex, and delivering more events and workshops over the next year!
